Scott Zer0 was once a criminal, doing petty thieves just to earn money for his daily needs. When he was stealing someone's wallet in the beach, 2 men behind him pushed him into the sea. 10 minutes later as the local lifeguards searched for him and finally found him, he was in critical condition. His face is not recognizable anymore. Scott writhed in pain as he kept saying "Shark...Attacked...". Even so the lifeguards brought him to the hospital.
The surgery did not lessen the damage already done by the shark. Stitches and wounds were closed but his face was still unrecognizable.
After this incident and few days of therapy, Scott proclaimed he is a new man. He said that the incident was actually beneficial to him. He said that while the shark did destroy his face, the shark "woke up" Scott and he said that he owed the shark. Scott began wearing a mask, a shark-themed mask, as tribute to the shark's actions, and while he now acts for the beneficial of others, he still wanders for the 2 men who pushed him and that those 2 men will pay.
(He still steals stuff though)
